Why is it so great? Is it the shopping? No, I've never gone shopping on Black Friday. Unlike my friends and some of myfamily, I don't enjoy pushing people over so I can get something on clearance. I cringe at the thought of someone getting hurt just because a sale is going on. Sure, I like shopping,but that's way too much for me. Here are the reasons:
1) Leftovers. Yeah, I said it. I'm a big eater...I LOVE FOOD. Plus there's so much, it's like a second Thanksgiving.... except way easier. All you do is pop it in the microwave and BAM food for the next few days.
2) Sleep In.Sleeping in is kinda rare for me, because of work and school.... so Black friday is like.... heaven.
3) DECORATIONS! That's probably the reason I like it most, to be honest. Each year, my mom likes to pick a theme for our tree. One year it was centered aroundthe American Flag, another year it was all angels, and this year she picked birds.
At the top of the tree, ywe left out the traditional star and plopped a purple (fake) bird:
So with these three reasons, I think it's pretty obvious why I love the day after Thanksgiving.

my mother's putting up our tree as I write this! This years theme or rather color scheme is turquoise since her wonderful daughter bought her sparkly turquoise bulbs lol!
